How can you make working from home fun
By Barbara Carubio
Some people are delighted to have a plant on their working table, treating it like something which gives them comfort, but others are way opposite of the idea, seeing the plant as a distraction. Like, why bother having a plant if it will only take up space? In order to change that kind of perspective towards a piece of nature, let’s start with the benefits we can get and to what it can do towards our life, specifically with our mental and physical health.
So, here are some common benefits we can get in acquiring a plant at a workplace:
Lessen our stress
A stressful employee is an unproductive one. Stress is defined as a physical, chemical or emotional factor that causes bodily or mental tension and may be a factor to cause disease. Now, we cannot afford to be sick while we are working and earning a living right? So, that is when a plant comes in. A single plant per workplace can provide a very large lift to staff spirits, and so promote wellbeing and performance.
Increase our productivity
A stress-free mind can adequately function to produce creative ideas that will lead to productivity, just like how a clock functions only when its parts are working. Having a plant at a workplace can improve memory retention and work in an environment where there is something to get psychologically engaged can make one happier and to do better.
Gives off natural energy
A plant gives off an energy that surely has an optimistic impact on its surroundings. It also cleans the air with the process of Photosynthesis. Aside from that, a plant also gives an attractive, relaxing, and comforting sight to its spectators, whether they are old or young ones.
With this, we can see that plants have a huge impact not only in our lives but also to our surroundings.
